This policy covers the iOS apps published by Zatech.

1. Who we are

Zatech is a developer of iOS apps based in the Netherlands, run by Maarten Meijer. For the personal data described here, Zatech is the controller within the meaning of the GDPR. You can reach us at info@zatech.nl.

2. Your content stays on your device

What you record, scan, write or measure in our apps is processed and stored on your device. We do not receive it and cannot see it.

3. Anonymous usage counters

Some of our apps count how they are used, for example that a screen was shown or a button was tapped. The counters go over HTTPS to our own server in the European Union. They consist of simple facts such as the name of what happened, the app version, the time, and sometimes a number about the event, like how long something took.

They never contain your content, name, email address, Apple ID, a device or advertising identifier, or your IP address, which we do not store with them. To check that a request comes from a genuine copy of the app, the app uses Apple's App Attest; that says nothing about you.

We use no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking, and we share the counters with no one. Because they cannot be linked to you, we treat them as anonymous data; to the extent they are personal data, our basis is our legitimate interest in improving the apps (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). They are kept for as long as they are useful. For the same reason we cannot find or delete the counters of one person.

4. Support

If you email us, we receive your email address and what you write, and use it to answer you. We delete it after 12 months unless an open matter needs it longer.

5. Children

Our apps are not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

6. Your rights

If you are in the European Economic Area, you may ask us for access to the personal data we hold about you, to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to its use, or to move it. In practice this concerns your support emails. You may also complain to the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl) or to the authority in your own country.
